We are a boxing gym in South Minneapolis, founded on a simple belief: boxing is for everyone.
Originally opening our doors in April of 2021 on 38th Street at the corner of 23rd Avenue, we were founded by Ludy Webster and Jeremy Jacobsz as Ludy's Gym Champions Only. From day one, our goal was to create an open, welcoming environment where ego is left at the door and no one is ever turned away. The community response was immediate, overwhelming, and deeply inspiring.
In the fall of 2024, Coach Ludy unexpectedly had to step back and make the hard decision to retire. Stepping up to the mantle, Coach Jeremy took over operations and restructured the gym into what it is today: Champions Boxing Gym.
Each day, we strive to make this gym more than just a place to hit the bags—we are building a pillar of the South Minneapolis community. With a roster of 13 dedicated coaches, 13 classes a week, an extensive youth program, after-school initiatives, and an elite athlete fight team, Coach Jeremy continues to carry the gym's original values forward.
Whether you're stopping in to say hello, joining a class to get in shape, or preparing for a championship bout, everyone is welcomed and encouraged the second they walk through our doors.
